    Dr. Counts. O. K.. WHAT WAS HIS USUAL GREETING? - HOWDY
    BOYS!!!

    Brink’s, Frontenac; Lanier’s - Peachtree Street; Simons - Bon Aventure; Johns -
    North Merritt Island; Forester - Peachtree Street; Goolsby - Formerly Brink’s;
    Prine’s.

  7. Where were the Cocoa tennis courts located in downtown Cocoa?
    Site of the current Barnett Bank - it was clay, remember?

  8. Name the different locations of the Cocoa Fire Department, and perhaps you
    could help remember the names of the first few fire chiefs.
    First - Site of village Playhouse, and King Street.

    Just two - but they were sure used a plenty!

    Near the West end of Orange Avenue at the railroad.

  12. What Rockledge Hospital never had a patient?
    A never completed hospital located on the south side of Barton Avenue a short
    distance east of Fiske - PROGRESS WOW!!

  13. Name the source of Cocoa’s City Water prior to the Orange County wells.
    (Note: How many of you used this for a favorite “parking” spot?)
    Clearlake -- Sure does bring back memories doesn’t it???

  14. Who was the man that drove a Model T Ford and gave money and candy to
    kids? (My - How times have changed!)
    Mr. Drinkwater. Now- What was his dog’s name? (WOOTSIE)

  15. Where and what was “Number Nine”?
    Lovers’ Lane on Indian River Drive just south of Barton Avenue. (Rockledge
    Fire Department had pipes into the Indian River at numbered locations for a
    water supply. Number Nine (9) had parking spaces!! That’s where all the
    street signs disappeared too!

  16. Who was Mike Froh?
    Janitor at Cocoa High School on Forrest Avenue.

  17. Where was the Jarvis Store? (Do you remember Mrs. Jarvis?)
    Northeast corner of Forrest Avenue and Parkway Street

  18. Where was Fortenberry’s Sawmill?
    Corner of 520 and St. Rd 3; now the First Florida Bank Building.

  19. Where was the Abney and Abney Store?
    Built over the Indian River at the East end of the City Point Road - one of the
    few areas without a high-rise!

  20. Can you locate the Hart’s Blacksmith Shop
    Northwest corner of Willard Street and Forrest Avenue
